I struggle from my bedroom to the parlor that morning, but these is nothing beautiful to behold
.....It was day break already and i was getting ready to go visit Phil,i couldn't wait to inform him he had a job already,plus i had a beautiful dream about us,in the dream phil had resumed in the company as an assist manager,in a short time, he was made the manager,everything was going fine,he made me stopped working as a cleaner and opened a very big supermarket for me, we got married and had beautiful children,i was the envy of all women,i opened my eyes and realised it was all a dream,but i was very happy,because i believed my reality was going to be just like the dream if not more,Phil and i will make a perfect power couple.i was getting water to bath when the thought of my dream reflected on my mind,i held the bowl in my hand and rested on the drum of water smiling beautifully...
Adesuwa,Ade,Adeeeeee,mother's voice brought me back to reality, kor iye, Labo,i greeted,koyor wemwen,how was your night,mother asked.ohhh mum,it was amazing,beautiful and wonderful,i said smiling,i see,that's good to know,so my dear,about yesterday,have you thought of it,i mean,the job discussion we had, tell me you are keeping your job..mother said
Oh mother no, i thought about it all through the night,and i concluded Phil needed the job better than i do,he is the man after all,moreover i am not going to be jobless you know, i am going to be working too as a cleaner,,,i said.
Adesuwa my child,are you sure you are making the right choice,men are not to be fully trusted,you saw all your father did to me,despite all my sacrifices,he dealt with me without thinking twice,you have to invest in your own self,do you think if the table was turned,Phil would have made such sacrifice for you?,i don't want you making the same mistake as me, please my chillllll,,,,mum,i understand all your worries and fears,but trust me mum,Phil is not like my dad,he loves me and can't hurt me,moreover,,i had a very beautiful dream last night,how this job changed our lives for good,phil opened a big supermarket for me,we got married and had beautiful children,you see,that's just a confirmation from God,that our future is bright and that i am doing the right thing,i said.
Well my child,indeed at times our dreams are revelations of our future from God,other times,its just our mind giving us what we want to see,especially if we have thought of a thing too much,nevertheless i don't want to be a pessimist, you are an adult,you know what you want,i can only but advice you as a mother,also you know Phil better than i do,i really hope he is worth every of your sacrifice,mother concluded..
I had my bath,and dressed up,then headed straight to Phil's.i got there at about past 9am and phil was still in bed,babe,good morning,i greeted,you are still sleeping by this time?,i had asked,what should a man without job do,he replied.well this man without job would not be having this much sleeping time effective from on monday.i said,he looked at me with less interest,what do you mean? He asked.well i was able to find a job for you and you are to go for interview on monday,i said,he gave a long hiss,babe what was that for,i asked.
Do you know how many interviews i had gone to,how many you shall hear from us i have heard,yet all to know avail,no one has ever called me to resume,and you want me to be happy you got an interview for me .he said.
I understand babe,but quitters never win,and winners never quit,you don't stop because you haven't gotten what you wanted,you only keep trying,and this one is different from the rest because someone had spoken on our behalf,i then narrated all that had happened,he was very happy,he jumped and celebrated. .....
It was monday moring ,i had gone to work,and had resumed my duties of cleaning ,when someone walked into the reception,it was phil,looking so Fab.we just winked at each other,soon the manager came,and asked that Phil should come in,it was time for the interview, i prayed silently that phil should impress the manger,so that he could have the job.......
