Ekiti, Osun Guber: APC Sets N22.5m for Nomination and Interest Forms



 The governing All Progressives Congress (APC) has set a budget of N22.5 million for expressions of interest and nomination forms for the gubernatorial elections in Ekiti and Osun states.


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set the Ekiti gubernatorial election on June 18, 2022, and the Osun governorship election for July 16, 2022.

The expression of interest form would cost N2.5 million, while the nomination form will cost N20 million, according to details of the timeline issued by the party on Tuesday.


"The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Sen. John James Akpanudodehe, has released the party's approved timetable and schedule of activities for the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and INEC guidelines."


"The price of the forms was set at N22.5 million by the party. The expression of interest form costs N2.5 million, while the nomination form costs N20 million.



Female applicants and physically handicapped hopefuls, on the other hand, must pay half of the authorized fees, according to the party.


It stated that the selling of forms for the Ekiti state election would begin on November 16, 2021, and that the deadline for submitting completed forms and supporting papers to the national secretariat would be January 11, 2022.


According to the announcement, the sale of Osun election forms will begin on November 18, 2021, and the deadline for submitting completed forms and supporting documentation would be February 18, 2022.
