TO THE CHURCH
I've been reading several reports about The Sudden Transformation Of The 17 Years Old Girl Who Was once Hawking But Became Music Star. Salle video as she was singing a song went viral online weeks ago, and somehow they found her. And she was handpicked by a music record label in Nigeria.
When her first video in the studio session was released to the world last weekend, she was seen astonishingly beautiful, however with half naked dress. And because of this sudden transformation, lots of religious folks around the country began to condemned the industry for turning the girl into a "Jezebel" in the name of fame.
As at yesterday I still read an article that rubbished the behavior of the child for allowing the world to change who she really is. Even the former President spokesperson, Mr. Reno Omokri encouraged the child never to be swayed by the fame instead to maintain decency in her dressing.
I will make this shot but don’t say it doesn't concern you.
I've observed some growing trends in Nigeria. We preach, we pray and fast about many things. We keep telling ourselves that it's God that owns the heart of men when we ought to go out their to make things work.
I'm sure some church leaders and christian industries saw the video of that little girl. Okay! You said they are too busy to know about it. If they didn't, I'm sure some of the youths or their children that have sense watch the video. If they do, is it not possible for the Christians to point the attention of their leaders or parents to the potentials in that girl?
But I guess we are not concern about this world. Instead we distributes tracts for the hungry men. We distributes bags of rice in our outreaches and take pictures to show the world that we are feeding the poor. We ignore the souls of those that are in the world. We forget that a soul won for Christ in the world can bring billions of souls to the kingdom.
Imagine winning the soul of Micheal Jackson to Christ and that guy confess in one his show that Jesus Christ is the Lord. Do you know that millions of people will surrender their lives to Christ if he had made an altar call in one show?
Fame, money, struggles and influence in life are battles for the souls. If you are carrying a great destiny, it will not be easy for you to rise to that influence. That's why lots of sincere men who are talented find it hard to be helped. Because if they rise, thousands of people will rise with them to the kingdom.
Let me tell you, if you are helped and transformed by the Egyptians, you must serve the God of Egypt. A struggling girl who has no hope of becoming a star suddenly helped by men, trust me, she will do what they ask her to do. If she was helped by the church, she will surely serve the God of the Bible.
Satan doesn't have time for someone who is not a threat to his kingdom, but he's after souls that may threaten his kingdom in the future. The madman in Gadarene was an Evangelist, but was possessed with many unclean spirits. Jesus didn't leave him, instead He helped him. This is what we are called to do. Our ministries are not just to feed the poor, but to bring transformation to the world and give them salvation. (You can read that again)
If you and your God can't save me when I was strolling the street without help. If you and your God can't raise me when I was in need of an helper for my gift to shine; do you think I'm going to dump the god of those who accepted me as their own and embrace yours? O wrong of course.
So before you criticize a man for eating with the devil, you need to ask yourself whether you'd offered him a food before when he was hungry?
This is not a call to condemn the church, but a call to wake up to our responsibilities in the world. Because we are losing our teenagers to the devil day by day. We are succeeding in preaching to them and offering them food. But we are not giving them transformation.
This is the best time to set up platforms for the youths if you don't want to loose them to the devil. Let's embrace their gifts and nurture them in God's way in other for them to walk in that way.
Church should not segregate the rich from the poor. The front seat should never be for the rich nor for the elders. The children of the rich and the poor should be treated equal. And the ministers should not dishonor the poor for doing wrong and embrace the rich for the same crime by calling it mistake.
The message of the gospel is clear. It's good news. It should bring salvation and transformation to those in the world. It's time to go beyond fasting and prayers for the salvation of souls, this is the time to win souls through transformation.
Do your best, and allow God to do the rest.
