Rita Edochie: Kidnappers are on the highways, but security agents are on the lookout for Biafrans.

Rita Edochie, a Nollywood actress, has decried the insecurity of Nigerian roads for automobile travel.

In an Instagram post, the actor said that the country's security services have lost their priorities.

She also released a video of what looked to be local authorities attempting to thwart a highway robbery.

According to Rita, operatives who are meant to be looking for kidnappers are instead being sent to the southeast to look for secessionists.

"There is insecurity on all of our roadways." Nobody is fighting them, but the security personnel who should be patrolling the highways looking for the kidnappers are in the southeast, where there is no difficulty," the actress wrote.

"...fighting them in the sake of finding Biafrans." Regrettably."

The number of abductions on Nigerian highways has increased in recent years.

Kenneth Okonkwo, an actor-turned-politician, has previously expressed his displeasure with the nomadic herders in Abuja.

"This explains why ranching is both desirable and unavoidable." "How can people and animals be fighting for a right of passage in Abuja, the federal capital city?" the actor had wondered.

"In order to decrease tensions between passers-by, commuters, farmers, and ranchers, we must transition to a 21st-century method of animal husbandry."
