In the earlier hours of today, the Honourable Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency of Benue State, Hon. Samuel Odagboyi Godday was at the Hill-top residence of the former President of Nigeria, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd) in Mina to felicitate with the national leader on his 81st birthday celebration.
The Reps Member congratulated the Retired General on his remarkable achievements in the African continent and Nigeria in particular, noting that the lifetime of Gen. Babangida cannot be forgotten forever in the history of Nigeria and of course, the continent.
Hon. Godday emphasized that Nigeria is yet to access the blessing of having another IBB, whose legacies are visible across the length and breadth of the country
The gallant celebrant could not hide his feelings as he received his foster son, Godday Samuel with his amiable wife Mrs. Elizabeth Samuel. The people's General thanked God for the opportunity of beholding his children celebrate him at old age.
The refined leader reminded Hon. Godday of his only request to be appointment as S.A Domestic Affairs to him (Gen. Babangida) during the 2007 Presidential campaigns should Babangida win as the President.
Indeed, it was a joyful moment with Gen Babangida as the duo had useful discussions about the past, present and future of Nigeria.
