LAMENTATION OF MORALS

LAMENTATION OF  MORALS

I am morals

I am standing by the gallows

Helplessly waiting for what follows

Accused of crimes I didn't commit

Excused of the light I  did emmit

Inordinate desire is my accuser

Excessive pleasure is the bruiser

I am morals

Lying sadly on my sickbed

Or maybe it's a glorified deathbed.

I'm poisoned by chronic laxity

I'm poisoned to kill my sagacity

Being secretly raped by  religion

I'm seriously trapped like a pigeon

I am morals

Sitting in my decorated prison

Dumped often for no just reason

I'm seen now as old fashioned;

My beneficial opinion as impassioned

Being treated as lowly

Look, I am dying slowly!

I am morals.

Drowning in the deep sea

Yet society pretends she can't see.

Being washed away by greedy eros

She claims they're necessary errors

If I eventually off all my light

Society will kiss the dark night.
