I am a Nigerian. I am black
but not a mediocre. In my
veins, the black man dwells.
The melanin isn't a curse
but a birthright I patriotically
hold upright.
In my region, there are legion
of religions yet, bonded by an
unqivering black unity.
Mazi, Bola, Oche, Musa, Onuh
and others thrives freely with
equal opportunities.
In our very own soil, we soiled
indifferences for we are not
party to apathy.
Corruption is a gross outlander,
homosexuality is totally fremd
and war is a baseless alien.
