Why is The Middle Belt comfortable with Tinubu? George Onmonya Daniel

Nigerians need leaders who would make them feel they belong to Nigeria, feel safe in Nigeria, and feel they have a voice and a say in Nigeria. It is all about fairness and inclusivity.

The former government of Muhammadu Buhari made Nigeria look like an Arewa affairs and an Islamic affairs. Buhari apointed an all muslim security chiefs taking care of the nation's security. Terror supporter like Sheikh Pantami was part of the Buhari's ministers. The Middle Belt, Igbos, Niger Delta, were visibly excluded from decision making. Major appointments went to Buhari's tribesmen and women or people of the same religion.

Tinubu's appointments quickly calmed things down. The Middle Belt and other minorities around Nigeria feel they belong to this Nigeria more than the Nigeria of Buhari that among his major agendas include settling Fulani people from all over Africa into people's land as RUGA and Cattle Colony.

All Tinubu needs to do now is to get the economy working. The sky is his limit. I hope Arewa politicians would learn that Nigeria is not an Islamic State and learn from Jagaban's politics.
